Bundle of nerves....

Here's the crew getting ready. He borrowed someones board ( a shorter one) but unfortunately it disabled him during competition. he did really good, but today was not the day to try a board you never have used!!
Checking out the waves. Tiki girl hiding behind him when the white wash came up real fast! She knew this is not swimming material!

Off to do his best. the waves were not 15-20 feet. (Thank God). Yet they were probably 8-10 feet, and pretty choppy!. I had a hard time filming him because the waves that were behind him were huge... it was very nervy.

Besides surfing, they had canoe surfing. It holds 4 men ( or women) and they take off on bomb waves! Alika was asked to be in one . When these guys wipe out....it is SCARY TO WATCH!!!
