Setting Traditions

This evening is special time with my baby making cookies for Santa. I used to go to my "Nana's" house EVERY year to do this. I looked forward to it and my Nana was more excited than me. Thats how I feel now. Just to see her face is worth a million dollars!

SCHOOL'S OUT!!

I begin my 3 week vacation....the benefits of working at a school. With just a few days till xmas, I can get all my shopping done, pick up my girl, grab our boards and head off to the many shades of our ocean!

REI in Hawaii

Thank God the weather changed. My girl had a photo shoot , and was raining all day!!! 45 min before began, it got beautiful!!! All she had to do is sit in here and cruise!.. they were hour late. by the time they began and driving her around, she was getting soo tired. but she knew it was not the time to fall asleep!!

Here is the item that they were shooting for their catalog. I've never heard of REI because there is none in Hawaii....
Here is a far away look at the weather, famous pink hotel in Waikiki, and oh..yeah, Tiki's little helmet . I kept laughing to myself thinking the next time she rides by me she will be out cold!! hee hee

After it was all finished she went swinging on the vine trees!!!

Here is Tianna, my sisters oldest. she's 20 and livin life to the fullest. She works on a cruise liner and obviously has time to do some REALLY COOL THINGS. We miss her alot and T, we love you!!! Cant wait to see you soon.

This is a rainy day favorite for me. I adore Sandra Bullock. I think I could hang with her. This movie is funny, sappy, and easy to relate to, with a cute love story as a addition.

I may have blogged about this before, but her character was soooo ME!!! (when I was single....for a long time)

It reminds us that in our hearts, we think we've chosen the right person to pursue, and then the right one is right under your nose. Life is nothing but decisions....how do we know we've made the right ones?!

CONGRATULATIONS TO TIM TEBOW!!!! I never watch the Heisman Trophy Awards...but this year our own QB was nominated. and during the show, they give a little back round of each player. I was HIGHLY IMPRESSED of QB ( for Florida ) Tim's profile. Not only Professionally, but more importantly Characteristically!. He seems like a great kid with a awesome future ahead of him, and from a perspective as a parent, he ROCKS!!!

We had a terrible rain & wind storm all night. reached up to 60mph. Woke up this morning, and heard that all schools closed.. YEEEAAAHH!
so many utility poles down, trees blocking major roadways.... I heard the thunder, but didn't realize the damage.

oh, guess I'll have to hang with my girl at the mall....YEEEEEAHHH!!!

This is my family from Kentucky! I don't know them like I should....but I do know they are beautiful people. My aunt Dianne was with me when my father passed away. She was such a support, it's hard to repay that kind of love...that she showed all us kids during that hard time. She STILL continues to bless others with her love and time.

Hawaiian Pride

OMG!!! Last night everyone in Hawaii was doing the SAME THING!!! Watching OUR UH FOOTBALL TEAM WIN!!!!! I know, "ya had to be there" , but let me tell you....this was theeee most exciting game in HISTORY!! (For UH ). We had been UNDEFEATED!! This was our last game...Colt Brennan ( shown here, our QB) had passed up going to NFL last season to go ONE MORE season...and boy did he give a season to remember!!!!

This was BIGGER ( to us here ) than the SUPERBOWL!! Thank you Colt, for a EXCELLENT year, and HOPE YOU WIN THE HEISMAN!!!!

Bundle of nerves....

Here's the crew getting ready. He borrowed someones board ( a shorter one) but unfortunately it disabled him during competition. he did really good, but today was not the day to try a board you never have used!!
Checking out the waves. Tiki girl hiding behind him when the white wash came up real fast! She knew this is not swimming material!

Off to do his best. the waves were not 15-20 feet. (Thank God). Yet they were probably 8-10 feet, and pretty choppy!. I had a hard time filming him because the waves that were behind him were huge... it was very nervy.

Besides surfing, they had canoe surfing. It holds 4 men ( or women) and they take off on bomb waves! Alika was asked to be in one . When these guys wipe out....it is SCARY TO WATCH!!!
